What is the difference between Dysport and Botox?
Dysport and Botox both derive from botulinum toxin type A. They are similar in that they are approved for cosmetic use to treat certain areas of the face, relaxing the muscles that cause wrinkles. Dysport lasts between four and six months, and Botox typically lasts between three and four months. One of the biggest differences, however, is the rate in which patients notice the effects. Dysport patients typically respond in one to two days, while Botox patients usually respond to the treatment within three to five days.
